The all-new DJI EV50 VTOL (Vertical Take-Off and Landing) transport drone is designed for cross-regional aerial transport scenarios with a range of hundreds of kilometers.
It supports vertical take-off and landing, allowing for flexible deployment without a runway. It boasts a maximum empty range of 150 kilometers, a maximum payload of 50 kilograms, and a maximum empty airspeed of 160 kilometers per hour. Equipped with a large 270-liter cargo bay, it allows for the delivery of more supplies in one go. Utilizing an 8-rotor + 3-propeller redundancy system, along with pitot tube redundancy and multiple safety features including parachutes, it ensures stability and reliability. The fuselage can be quickly disassembled and reassembled without tools, facilitating storage and relocation. An open PSDK ecosystem allows for expansion and adaptation to different scenarios, building more efficient aerial transport capabilities.

    In May 2026, the DJI EV50 took off from Mount Everest Base Camp, carrying equipment such as an ozone meter .
    Under conditions of thin air, low pressure, and complex winds, it successfully assisted the Chinese scientific expedition team in collecting ozone and particulate matter data in the Mount Everest region .

    During the mission, the highest flight altitude reached 8,861 meters, simultaneously breaking DJI’s record for the highest altitude flight of a drone and
    bringing a new breakthrough to atmospheric observation methods on Mount Everest.

    The large wingspan delivers more efficient fixed-wing cruise performance, providing a reliable performance foundation for long-distance transport and complex route flights.

    Two people can complete tool-free disassembly and assembly within 5 minutes, which facilitates transportation and storage, rapid relocation, flexible deployment, and can be put into mission status at any time.

    The 270-liter large-capacity wide-body cargo hold design can easily adapt to various cargo size combinations, making full use of the aircraft’s carrying capacity and improving the transportation efficiency of a single mission.
